What’s Inside Your Egg Carton?

If you’re like most people, you check for broken shells before buying eggs at the grocery store. Finding a cracked egg or two is common, and you move on to the next carton, leaving the damaged one behind. As you continue your search, you notice some cartons have one broken egg, others have two, and some have three or more. Eventually, you find a carton with a perfect dozen eggs inside.

Why do you need to open each carton? Because you can’t judge the contents by the outer packaging. Every carton looks identical from the outside, but their contents can vary significantly. Randomly picking a carton without checking inside would be a needless risk.

Our bodies are like those egg cartons. They often compensate so well for imbalances that, while they may appear healthy on the outside, underlying problems or symptoms can be hidden. Left undetected, these imbalances can lead to chronic illness, degeneration, and disease.

We’ve been taught that if we look and feel okay, we must be healthy. However, many diseases, such as cancer and heart disease, show no symptoms until they are advanced. Imbalances work similarly.

Meridian imbalances are “silent problems.” They often go unnoticed because they are usually painless and show few outward signs, yet they impact your life-sustaining meridian system.

Just like cracked eggs eventually leak and reveal themselves, uncorrected imbalances will eventually manifest as symptoms.

The only way to know for sure if you have meridian imbalances is to either wait for symptoms to appear or to “open the carton” with an acupuncture examination.

If you wouldn’t risk buying a $3.00 carton of eggs without checking inside, you certainly shouldn’t risk your most precious commodity: YOUR HEALTH!
